Taking kids with you to the pub is something modern parents wouldn't have had the luxury to do once upon a time. Should that really be taken away from them and kids banned altogether?
Today's kids can be found in places they traditionally wouldn't have been. Some parents choose to take their little ones to festivals, and some cinemas hold special baby-friendly screenings for films kids wouldn't usually be allowed into. And since 1995, children under the age of 14 have been allowed in pubs, after licencing laws were relaxed. But, recent times have a rise in stories making the news about parents who've been made to feel unwelcome in pubs, and pub owners suggesting they'll be placing bans on children entering the premises.
