An entrepreneur with millions in the bank at the age of just 26 says he can't tell his Sicilian parents about his wealth out of fear that they'd "disown| him. Giuseppe Fiorentino's parents moved to Switzerland when he was still a child, in a bid to escape the organised crime rife in their home country of Sicily, where it's believed the mafia originated.
Because of their past experiences, Giuseppe, who became rich through e-commerce, doesn't dare open up to his family about just how much money he actually has, as he believes they'd just assume he was a "mafia boss".
Giuseppe, who has nearly 50,000 Instagram followers, explained: "To my parents, my wealth is incomprehensible. I can't tell them the truth because they would never understand – they've never heard of reselling goods for profit.
"They know me and know that I'm a good human being, but would instantly believe that I was doing some kind of criminal activity. I've got a diamond watch worth £27,000 and I never wear it around them, because to my parents it's a sign that I'm up to no good."
Giuseppe currently makes £85,000 ($100,000) a month through his business, 3CC Group AG, a company that offers e-commerce training, and doesn't hold back when it comes to treating himself to the finer things in life.
He enjoys high-end cars and designer goods and has previously splashed out on a £125,000 ($150,000) McLaren 570S and an £85,000 ($100,000) Mercedes AMG GLC.
The businessman also has a penchant for luxury travel, with recent holidays taking him to Dubai, South Africa, and Egypt. He even recently flew over to London just to collect a new Rolex before returning to Zurich, where he's currently based.
Unfortunately, Giuseppe isn't able to share this side of his life with his family and has to downplay his opulent lifestyle whenever he's around them.
According to Giuseppe: "Southern Italy is very poor and most of the people with money there are in the Mafia. If you go around flaunting your wealth with designer clothes, luxury watches, and high-end cars, then everyone knows that you're part of a gang.
"Nothing has to be said – it's just a fact. I can't share this side of my life with some of my Italian family members, because I'm scared they'd disown me.
"No matter how hard I tried to convince them that I am an entrepreneur who has made his money through blood, sweat, and tears, they'd still think I was in the mafia."
As many of his family members are older and don't use the internet, there isn't much chance of them learning about his successes online, and so he has been able to keep his secret so far.
Giuseppe continued: "I interned at a Swiss bank when I was 16 years old and was offered a job afterward, my parents think I still work there now. I\ve always wanted to be rich but never knew how to do it I stumbled across e-commerce.
"I started out selling small clothes online but then expanded into bigger goods. When I turned 23 quit my job at the bank and haven’t looked back since."
