I'm A Celebrity viewers say Chris Moyles has been totally shown up by Matt Hancock

Presenter Chris Moyles has had a bad week when it comes to Bushtucker Trials on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The 48-year-old was chosen to take part in the 'Boiling Point' trial on Wednesday, November 16 and only brought back a single star for camp - losing one other star he'd collected along the way. Only a day earlier, Chris, Babatunde Aléshé and Boy George also put in a poor performance during the 'Angel of Agony' trial, bringing back three stars.

Returning to camp on Wednesday, an emotional Chris told the rest of the group: "It's really not good news and I'm really sorry. This is so awkward. I didn't and I'm not joking, I got one star. To make it worse I got two and it fell out of my bag." Boy George reacted in the Bush Telegraph, saying: "I wanted him to come back with more for him, not for me. I thought it would be good for his self-esteem."

Whereas his campmates all seemed understanding, viewers at home were shocked at Chris' performance in the trial, commenting on how former Health Secretary Matt Hancock had won significantly more stars in the many trials he had done. Here's what they had to say.

One viewer wrote: "The only thing the campmates are eating in #ImACelebrity is their words they said against Matt Hancock. They haven't been fed a proper meal in two days because the viewers haven't picked Matt to do a trial. He would have finished Chris Moyles' trial in seconds. Bringing in the stars." During his time in the jungle, Hancock has been chosen to do multiple trials and has always brought back lots of stars.

A second agreed, writing: "Matt Hancock putting Chris Moyles to shame." A third commented: "Matt Hancock has been an absolute star! A joy to watch and a great asset to the camp, unlike Boy George and Chris Moyles." And a fourth said: "Chris Moyles giving Matt Hancock grief from day one then puts in a disaster class like that whilst Matt is putting in solid 8/10."

Since arriving in camp, Hancock has been scrutinised for his role during the pandemic by his fellow contestants. Despite this, he has taken responsibility for his actions and admitted that he made a "big mistake". You can read more about that here.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Thursday, November 17 at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub
