I'm A Celebrity... The trials Matt Hancock has faced and what he has to do next

Matt Hancock faces his sixth consecutive trial on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

The former health secretary, 44, entered the campsite last week and the public have voted for him to take part in every trial.

Here is a rundown of all the Bushtucker trials he has faced so far.

1. The Beastly Burrows

Shortly after arriving on the show, Hancock and comedian Seann Walsh, who was the other late arrival, were told they faced their first Bushtucker Trial.

Named the Beastly Burrows, the trial saw them enter an underground burrow, made up of a series of tunnels and chambers, which they had to navigate in the dark, picking up stars along the way.

The pair had 11 minutes to find 11 stars but ended up only earning six out of 11 stars.

2. Tentacles Of Terror

The Bushtucker Trial saw the MP for West Suffolk trapped inside a octopus-shaped cage full of underwater critters.

He was tasked with collecting 11 numbered stars in order as the structure was lowered into the water.

He collected a full house, winning full rations for the camp.

3. La Cucaracha Cafe

The first eating trial of the current series saw Hancock joined by singer Boy George at La Cucaracha Cafe.

Sitting opposite each other at a Mexican-themed jungle cafe while a Mariachi band played, Hancock first faced a fish-eye taco which he said tasted “very fishy” while Boy George ate sticky beans.

Hancock had to drink an entire glass of blended meal worms accompanied with a witchetty grub garnish – which he described as “absolutely disgusting” branding the texture “horrible.”

Meanwhile Boy George, who is being allowed to eat vegetarian options during the tasks, compared eating a fermented duck egg to his fellow campmate Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver’s fart – which was “like charcoal”.

The Tory MP said eating the tip of a camel’s penis was “soft and crunchy,” and described the thought of eating a sheep’s vagina as “disgusting”.

After being served a cow’s anus, he added: “The texture’s terrible and all the time you’re thinking about what you’re eating. I don’t recommend it as a main course.”

Boy George and Hancock earned a full house of stars.

4. Who Wants To Look Silly On Air?

The jungle-themed version of hit programme Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? saw Hancock tackle the challenge alongside Owen Warner, who stars as Romeo Nightingale in Hollyoaks.

The pair were asked six multiple choice questions by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, with 60 seconds to answer each, and the help of various lifelines.

During the trial the pair were pelted with feathers, custard and other messy substances, and only managed to win five out of the 11 stars.

Warner spoke of his disappointment at the result, saying in the Bush Telegraph: “I’m feeling very disappointed, very deflated.

“I’m not the smartest geezer about, which is probably why I got put to do that. I feel a bit awful… I feel really tight that I’ve let the campmates down a little bit.”.

5. House Of Horrors

For his fifth consecutive Bushtucker trial, Hancock had to crawl through a giant doll’s house full of pigeons, snakes and troughs full of offal, searching for stars to feed the camp.

Asked by Donnelly why he thought the public kept voting for him to take part in the gruelling trials, he responded: “It must be the facial expressions.”

Facing his fear of snakes, the Tory MP located nine out of the 11 stars on offer, despite a snake attempting to strike him at eye level.

After returning triumphant to camp, he admitted: “I was absolutely shitting myself.”

The sixth trial he will face is called Deserted Down Under and will air during Monday night’s instalment.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV nightly at 9pm.
