Earlier this week soap star Dean Gaffney returned to I’m A Celebrity after last being on the ITV show in 2006. The EastEnders actor, 45, arrived in the South African camp with former King of the Jungle Joe Swash during Monday’s, May 1 episode.
Following the actor’s exit from EastEnders he did briefly consider a career change. In 2012 Dean detailed how he applied for a job at MI5.
"I love spy films and the whole James Bond thing and I've got an inquiring mind, so I thought I'd give it a go," he told The Sun at the time. “MI5 put out an advert looking for people and I thought 'How hard can it be?'”

Dean added: "Most spies spend their lives pretending to be people who they're not. I do that for a living." Upon announcing that he’d applied for a position at MI5, Dean’s EastEnders co-star Adam Woodyatt - who you can read an interview with here - weighed in.
At the time Adam joked on Twitter: "He's more Johnny English than James Bond.” He also shared how he thought Dean would “get some stick” over the application.
Dean played Robbie Jackson in EastEnders between 1993-2003 and 2017-2019. He has also made several other TV appearances over the years, including The Bill, Extras and Misfits.
