Former Strictly Come Dancing star Seann Walsh is set to sign up for this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.
The comedian, 36, was embroiled in the popular BBC One dance competition's biggest ever scandal when he was caught on camera kissing his then-married professional partner Katya Jones in 2018.
Seann was also in a long-term relationship with actress Rebecca Humphries, who he lived with at the time, while Katya was married to fellow Strictly professional dance Neil Jones at the time of the infamous kiss.
Almost a year later, Neil and Katya, 33, announced they were divorcing, but they insisted that the kissing scandal had nothing to do with their decision to end their 11-year relationship. Seann and Rebecca also split after the incident.
The snog looked to have left his career in tatters but he returned to comedy to piece his life back together and has regularly joked about the impact of the incident during his live shows but has never delved into detail.
ITV bosses reportedly hope that the funnyman could open up during the long days in camp when the show returns to the Australian rainforest for the first time in three years.
A source told The Sun: "Seann is an incredible signing for I'm A Celebrity and it’s a real coup for ITV.
"His snog with Katya is the biggest scandal to have ever hit Strictly. People still talk about it.
"Life in the jungle is boring and those long hours around the campfire would be the perfect time for Seann to get talking. He can’t shy away from it either as he’s best known for that snog. It’s unlikely his campmates won’t bring it up."
The comic becomes the latest name to be linked with the hit ITV show after I'm A Celebrity bosses have reportedly broken their previous ban on Love Island stars joining the line-up.
Blonde beauty Olivia Attwood is said to be heading into the Australian outback to take part in the celebrity endurance show.
Olivia, 31, became one of the most recognisable faces from the popular dating series after her time in the Majorcan villa in series three.
Boy George has reportedly signed up to appear in the new series. The Karma Chameleon hit singer, 61, is said to have secured the highest pay cheque in the show's history, in the region of around £900,000, according to an ITV source speaking to the Mail Online.
Celebrity Gogglebox star Babatúndé Aléshé is another name set to make the long flight to Australia. The comedian is known for his funny one-liners on pal Mo Gilligan's sofa on the Channel 4 series.
The Mirror have contacted Seann's representatives and ITV for comment.
