I'm a Celebrity's Olivia Attwood breaks silence after sudden jungle exit

Olivia Attwood has spoken for the first time since leaving I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here after 24 hours due to medical issues.

The team for the former Love Island star has released a statement on her behalf on Monday evening. The reality star has been forced to withdraw from the show on medical grounds and will not be returning as medics have deemed it "unsafe" to do so.

However, tonight's episode of the ITV reality show will feature Olivia taking part in a trial as it was filmed before she left. The 31 year-old made her first appearance in the new series premiere episode on Sunday, November 6 and despite her quick stint will still receive her £100,000 appearance fee.

A rep wrote on Olivia's Instagram story: "To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement, she dreamed of doing 'I'm a Celeb' for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as knew she would).

"However, for reasons beyond her control, her journey has been cut short. Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has."

"You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screen in the New Year."

Making history as the first Love Island contestant to enter the jungle, the blonde bombshell shot to fame on season three of the reality show. Previously, I'm a Celebrity had strict rules stating that no one who entered the villa could enter the jungle.

Speaking on her exit, an ITV spokesperson said: “As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

“Unfortunately the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be a further investigation.

“She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.”
