I'm A Celebrity star Charlene White was left in tears after a first night 'wobble' in the jungle, citing feeling 'claustrophobic' in her sleeping bag as the reason for her upset.
Unlike 'VIPs' Boy George, Scarlette Douglas, Olivia Attwood, who has been forced to quit and Chris Moyles, who were left on an abandoned island, Loose Women host and ITV news anchor Charlene went straight into the jungle along with the likes of Mike Tindall and Jill Scott, after taking part in a terrifying Walk the Plank challenge.
After she was confirmed to be on the I'm A Celebrity line-up this year, it was reported that show bosses were hoping that, with her journalistic experience, Charlene will grill her co-stars round the camp fire and ask some probing questions. However, it was support, rather than answers she needed when she woke up after spending her first night in the I'm A Celeb jungle.
Viewers saw Charlene waking up in bed looking rather out of sorts, before she told Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver: "I had a bit of a cry," before elaborating: "Being in that (sleeping) bag is a bit claustrophobic. And I was like, I don't know what the best thing to do is," as she waved her hands about."
Speaking about their conversation in the Bush Telegraph, Sue, famous for playing Eileen Grimshaw in Corrie, said: "Charlene had a little bit of a wobble this morning. She's not going to be the last. We're all going to have our little moments throughout the days, but hopefully everyone will rally round and we can all support each other in our times of need."
As the camera cut back to camp, Charlene said: "I'll be so tired tonight, I'll just pass out, hopefully," as Sue joked: "We'll send out for pizza."
