I'm a Celebrity's Boy George to receive even bigger paycheque than expected from show

Boy George is set to receive an even bigger paycheque than expected following his I'm a Celebrity run.

The musician entered the jungle as one of the highest-paid stars ever with a rumoured £500,000 price tag. ITV implemented a rule that forced the celebrities to remain in camp for at least 72 hours in order to receive their full paycheque after an unfortunate incident with Gemma Collins which saw her leave in under three days.

Boy George was the fourth star to fall to the public vote which meant he could expect the full cheque, but Ant McPartlin revealed he will receive a lot more than initially agreed.

During an Instagram video, Boy George filmed the wrap party in full swing as he panned the camera around his fellow castmates and celebrities. Ant naturally smiled for the brief appearance before he was heard off camera telling the Karma Chameleon singer his wage would be receiving a bump.

Ant said: "Well done. You’re going to get a lot of PRS from us playing Karma Chameleon. I mean, a lot. Whenever we could."

George appeared excited by the news as he added: "Oh amazing, thank you so much."

PRS is in reference to the Performing Right Society - an industry body that collects and issues payments on behalf of musicians, artists and composers when their work is played or streamed on television and other forms of media.

Given the show's constant use of the Culture Club's Karma Chameleon, Boy George and his co-writers, along with the record label, can expect royalties for essentially becoming the backing track to this year's show.
