Boy George has been 'stopped in his tracks' as he took on I'm A Celebrity's first eating trial of the new series, alongside Matt Hancock, claiming it tasted like he 'was being poisoned.'
Since he arrived on the ITV show as a late arrival on Wednesday's show, former Health Secretary Hancock has been right in the thick of the trial action, getting his first taste of the Bushtucker challenges alongside fellow newcomer Seann Walsh, before taking on Tentacles of Terror on his own Thursday, winning 11 stars for the camp.
There was to be no reprieve after that full house of stars though as, as soon as I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec announced the return of the eating trial midway through Thursday's show, viewers at home got their votes in to ensure that Hancock would be subjected to more punishment. The big question was who would join him for the trial and, at the end of the show Ant and Dec revealed it was Culture Club icon George who'd been picked.

While ITV viewers won't get to see the La Cucharacha Cafe trial in full until Friday night, in reality, Matt and George have already done it, with the challenge being filmed in Australia, right after filming wrapped on Thursday night, which was in fact Friday morning Down Under.
A preview for the trial landed on Friday morning UK time and showed vegetarian George being presented with a plate of fermented plums, being told he'd need to eat six of them to earn a star. He made light work of the first few, before looking more disgusted and pausing as he tried to get another one down. Watching on with Ant, Dec remarked: "Hang on, something is stopping in his tricks," with Boy George firing back: "The taste," as Matt burst out laughing opposite him.
Trying to describe what was in his mouth, Karma Chameleon singer George added: "It tastes like perfume. It tastes like you're being poisoned."
