Boy George has left I'm A Celebrity viewers predicting an early clash in the jungle, after his nose was put out of joint by what he claimed was 'cooking hierarchy' in camp, going onto brand Charlene White a 'bossy boots' in a rant to Chris Moyles.
Culture Club singer and all round music icon Boy George is definitely one of the most buzzed about stars on this year's I'm A Celebrity line-up, with him rumoured to be getting a pay packet of £500,000 for taking part in the ITV show. He got a real baptism of fire to life on the long-running series as he was told he'd been chosen by viewers to be a VIP, which, unfortunately for him, meant Very Isolated Person, rather than Very Important Person.
The vote saw him condemned to spend his first night on I'm A Celebrity on a remote island, along with Scarlette Douglas, Olivia Attwood, who has been forced to quit and Chris, before the quartet finally went into the jungle after completing the first trial of the new series and winning eight stars for camp.
They joined the rest of the I'm A Celeb line-up, who'd already spent a night in the jungle and it became obvious that, while only being there 24 hours they had a structure set up, something which didn't seem to go down well with George. Speaking to Chris, out of earshot of the others, he took the opportunity to vent his frustrations on the cooking situation in camp, after Charlene White was seen taking on the role of head chef.
Having a serious grumble in the Bush Telegraph, Boy George said: "The food was horrible. The mushrooms were undercooked and I almost stepped in at one point and said 'oh do you want me to carry on frying it for you?' But then then thought I don't want to step on Charlene's toes," before admitting: "I have to be a little bit conscious of what I say and how I behave."
Speaking to Chris, he elaborated: "I felt sick afterwards, I don't think the mushrooms were cooked. And also, it feels like there's a hierarchy in the kitchen with Mike and Charlene," before branding the Loose Women star "quite bossy boots."
Reacting to what George just said to him, Chris remarked: "George already has a view on the chef situation, the cooking situation here in camp. He also doesn't like, how can I put this? He doesn't like authority."
Viewers at home had plenty to say about the conversation, with one tweeting: "I can see boy George having a go at poor Charlene when she won’t even know what happened, he’ll probably will have missed his mantra that day," and a second reacting: "Boy George better not try it with Charlene. We’re watching you Boy!"
