I'm A Celebrity's Babatúndé shares Celeb Gogglebox behind-the-scenes secrets

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Babatúndé Aléshé has revealed how he and Mo Gilligan actually film Celebrity Gogglebox.

The pair often sit alongside one another for the Channel 4 programme which sees them share their views on the week's telly, while watching the likes of Naked Attraction to Love Island.

However, the comedian admitted that all is not as it seems when it comes to filming the show, with many initially believing that the celebrities watch an entire episode or film.

Speaking on a pre-recorded podcast before jetting to Australia, Babatúndé explained they're only shown certain parts of a show.

He told the Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster podcast: "We give them hell on Gogglebox, as you can imagine, two comedians, we talk so much.

"To the point, the directors are like 'OK, we still have to watch this show, no more jokes, please', I love hanging around with Mo, hopefully, we get to do more stuff."

After being asked whether the pair watch the "whole show", he responded: "No, it'll be half an hour, maybe, the best bits."

He went on to say: "That's the thing, you get so into it even though it's like 20 minutes, especially with some of the stuff you've never seen before, even the scary stuff.

"If you've watched the show, I hate scary movies, so anything scary I'm already invested in because I don't want to be scared, it's intense.

"But yeah, it's only like 20/30 minutes usually."

Discussing his issue with scary films, Babatúndé joked: "I grew up in Tottenham, so you can imagine, I'm traumatised, anything scary in movies or real life – not for me."

But while he's not a fan of scary films, the comedian is currently competing on I'm A Celeb and has to tackle his fears of all the creepy crawlies Australia has to offer.

The star recently took part in an infamous Bushtucker Trial where he redeemed the maximum amount of stars that were available.

While overcoming his fear of heights, Babatúndé was held 100ft above the air on a platform as he battled his phobia on a raised platform.

The trial began during a heavy rain storm and Babatúndé said to himself: "Come on bro, you can do this."

As he continued with the trial, working his way higher up the structure and successfully collecting stars as he went, comedian Babatunde admitted: "I'm proud of myself."

Making his way to the top level, with just 10 seconds to go Babatúndé reached out and grabbed the final star but he was told by Ant he had to step off the ledge for it to count – and he made the final leap earning himself nine out of nine stars.

Afterwards, he told hosts Ant and Dec: "I kept saying to myself, 'You are crazy, how am I doing this right now?' That's all I kept thinking, 'How am I doing this?'
