Ant and Dec have refuted accusations that they 'spoiled' the World Cup for football fans during Tuesday's I'm A Celebrity, after they discussed one of the results during the latest episode of their ITV show.
After Monday's edition of the much loved jungle programme was delayed due to the channel's coverage of Wales' opening match in Qyar against USA, there was no schedule changes for Tuesday's episode, with it kicking off in its usual 9pm timeslot. However, while I'm A Celebrity wasn't impacted by any World Cup action, that didn't stop Ant and Dec from addressing one of the day's scorelines: the fact that Australia, where the show is set, were on the receiving end of a 4-1 defeat in their opener.
The Aussies were soundly beaten by France, thank to goals by Rabiot, Giroud and Mbappe, after Craig Goodwin had given them a shock lead in the ninth minute. And, having been watching the match before cameras starting rolling, along with the crew Down Under, Ant and Dec couldn't resist getting a little dig in on set in front of millions of viewers.

After an ad break, Dec quipped; "Welcome back to I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here live from Australia 1, France 4. Sorry, was that too soon?," Dec said. "They hate us now," Ant added.
Highlights of the Australia game and the rest of Tuesday's World Cup matches were due to air shortly after I'm A Celebrity on ITV and, unhappy that Ant and Dec had shared the Australia v France score, one viewer took to Twitter to fume: "Trust @antanddec to needlessly reveal the football scores just before the highlights come on. I'm not sure what they find funny."
Rather than letting it pass, Ant and Dec issued a swift response to the post. While they didn't reveal which one of them it was who replied, they defiantly fired back at their critic, writing: "We were taking the mick out of our Aussie crew after a loss in the WC. I don’t understand what you don’t understand!? Maybe stop watching live tv and stay off Twitter if u want to control what you do and don’t hear."
Ant and Dec were backed by fans for their reaction, with one responding to the original post to comment: "You wanted to avoid the Australia score so you chose to watch a show by 2 huge football fans IN AUSTRALIA???? huh" and another replying: "Its the world cup, everyone is talking about it, any other 'live' tv would be the same, so just dont watch live tv."
