I'm A Celebrity's Ant and Dec have been 'targeting' Chris Moyles for 10 years

Ant and Dec have been 'targeting' one of this year's I'm A Celebrity line-up for years, with them being desperate to have Chris Moyles on the show.

After being pictured landing in Australia last week, the former Radio 1 breakfast show host was officially confirmed to be on th e I'm a Celebrity line-up on Monday evening, when ITV released pictures of the likes of him, Boy George, Jill Scott and Mike Tindall in their jungle gear.

Ant and Dec have made no secret of wanting to get Radio X presenter Chris on I'm A Celeb, first making their intentions known in 2012, when Dec said: "He would be really funny, he’d probably win. And he’s lost so much weight, even the lack of food wouldn’t bother him.” Ant added: “The thing is eventually they all say yes. We just wear them down.”

A video of Ant and Dec reacting to this year's line-up was published last week and, it's now it's obvious, which part of the clip was focused on Chris, as Ant shouted: "Yes! We knew we'd get you on there one of these days!"

In I'm A Celebrity odds released on Tuesday, before news broke that Matt Hancock was going in, bookies had Chris on odds of 11/2 to triumph in the jungle, behind the likes of Mike Tindall, Jill Scott and Olivia Attwood.

As soon as his name was linked with the show, former Health Secretary Hancock, was tipped to break the Bushtucker Trial record held by Naughty Boy, for the number of challenges a contestant is voted to do.
