Ant and Dec, just like millions of viewers at home, were left totally engrossed in the intense and rather uncomfortable conversation between Boy George and Matt Hancock during Friday night's show.
As soon as the disgraced former Health Secretary walked into the jungle as a late arrival last week, Culture Club legend George made his feelings known, saying that if his mum had died from Covid during the pandemic, he 'would have walked' off the ITV show, before admitting that he wouldn't kick up a fuss as it he didn't want to 'ruin' his own time in camp.
Since Matt's arrival, into I'm A Celebrity,he and Boy George were forced to work together in the Cucaracha Cafe eating trial, before George was left fully unimpressed by Matt becoming camp leader, declaring he wouldn't be told what to do 'by a Tory.'

With it apparent that there was still tension between them, on George's part anyway, the Karma Chameleon singer vented to campmate Seann Walsh, fuming: "Can’t stand Matt. I have tried to like him and I’ve failed. I find him slimy, I find him slippery. I find him just… I made a joke about chocolate. He just looked at me like… I wanted to say, ‘What are you looking at? Don’t you look at me like that.’”
He added: "I’ve tried to separate what I feel about him from who he is as a person, but I can’t.," before Matt awkwardly joined the conversation, with George telling him: "“I was making a joke about the chocolate. For god’s sake I was like… let’s have a bit of fun. I didn’t like the way you looked at me. I made a joke and you were like…”
As Matt, who survived the first vote-off as Charlene White left I'm A Celebrity, tried to explain that there was no malice on his part and tried to apologise, George fired back: "I just feel everyone’s trying to be too nice. It’s getting on my t*ts. I don’t want arguments… I’m just like come on guys, have a laugh.
“I’ll be honest with you, I think your presence has made everyone very compliant.” Matt was taken aback by the use of the word 'compliant' as George added: "“I have been hating on you, I have to be honest. I sometimes feel like you don’t say what you mean and you’re not particularly direct.”
He went on: "I’m trying to separate you as a human being and you as a politician and I’m struggling with it. We don’t share the same politics.
“I am struggling a little bit with you. That’s not your problem, that’s my problem. I apologise because I was really sl**ging you off a minute ago.”
The camera cut back to Ant and Dec after Boy George delivered his final word on the situation in the Bush Telegraph, with Ant remarking: "Oh that was so good wasn't it? I couldn't take my eyes off that. That was incredible," as Dec replied: "I felt for poor old Seann, right in the middle of it. He was nearly the first person to say I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here as a result of a conversation between two other people. He wasn't even talking!"
