Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have said filming for I'm A Celebrity has been dramatically different this year.
The ITV show made its return to Australia for the first time in three years for this series, after two years in Wales owing to the coronavirus pandemic. As their families join them Down Under, the presenting duo admit that hosting this series has been wildly different and their usual golf games when off air have been replaced with family time.
The duo have been at the helm of the show since its inception and have enjoyed many a friendly golf tournament whilst in Australia. However, things are much different this year as their families have joined them too.
Chatting with Andi Peters on Good Morning Britain today, Ant revealed: "We get up at about 2am Australian time so it's early! But then you go to bed at about 6pm, so you get a little bit of sun in the afternoon. No golf though!"
As Andi quizzed them on why no golf this time around, Ant added: "Well we have the families out this year so we can't just be -"
"I have two children Andi, I can't go out," Dec added - before Andi interrupted to ask how Dec's youngest son Jack was. "He's very good, he's great," Dec added of his youngest. Him and wife Ali Astall also have Isla, four, together.
When Dec landed in Australia this year, with his family in tow, he admitted it was "more stressful" filming now.
He said: "We have got the family here, baby Jack. And Isla is here, we have got the whole gang. It is a bit more stressful coming now, you watch less movies. But it is fine and great to be able to bring them out.
"We can have a bit of family time as well as getting the series going as well."
Asked if he might rope in Ant for some babysitting he laughed and said "absolutely".
Ant and Dec also don't speak to the contestants whilst filming for the show, and are only there for the trials. Chris Moyles, who became the latest campmate to exit the ITV show last night, revealed all.
"They don't really tell you anything. Ant and Dec, you literally walk onto the trial and they're there. And then you do the trial and if there's any break in filming to get you wired up or whatever, they walk off. The only time I've really spoken to Ant and Dec is what you've seen on the TV," the radio DJ revealed as he made a return to his Radio X show this morning.
