Ant and Dec ‘snubbed’ their preparations for Saturday night’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in favour of watching the Newcastle match on the set of the ITV show.
The new series of I’m A Celebrity is now a week old and what a week it’s been for the hosts and millions of viewers who’ve been tuning in every night.
Matt Hancock’s arrival aside, there’s been Olivia Attwood’s shock exit, the threat of some early tension between Boy George and Charlene White over cooking and Jill Scott getting Sweet Caroline played in camp.

Ant and Dec were back at the helm of another live show, avoiding a backlash from viewers, but before them there was the small, or rather big matter of their beloved Newcastle United taking on Chelsea.
While the staunch supporters could, of course, not be at St James’ Park to watch the game, they made sure they followed all the action behind the scenes on I’m A Celeb, in the run up to going live to the nation.
The presenters shared a shot of them gathered round a laptop watching the game, along with the caption: “Show prep going well.” And, after Newcastle won 1-0, bringing them to just two points behind second place in the league Manchester City, Ant returned to the lads’ joint account to post: “ EIEIEIO”
Ant's tweet prompted one Magpies fan to ask: "Any chance you could arrange for Dan Burn to go into the jungle and have a quick chat with Matt Hancock?" Another quizzed: "Can you hear that champions League music again lads?"
There was a rather heated moment for Ant and Dec once I'm A Celebrity got going, with Dec reprimanding the campmates for cheating in the latest trial, after they coughed to try and help out Matt Hancock and Owen Warner with the right answer in Who Wants To Look Silly On Air.
Ant stepped in to say: "Now then, we're going to stop there as there was some audience cheating going on," before Dec informed the campmates that Owen's wrong answer would be taken, before revealing the correct answer was Jessica Ennis-Hill.
Scarlette Douglas protested: "That wasn't their final answer was it?" to which Dec fired back: "It was their final answer until you all coughed." As the campmates reacted: 'Alright! Oohoh,' a defiant Dec replied: "Them's the rules guys!"
