While he underwent medical treatment the report said it had not been poisonous. The Mail was told the former Health Secretary compared it to a bee sting - but he said the pain was twice as bad.
The MP has had a full-on first week in the camp but the sting is said to have left him shocked. They said the scorpion had been "safely removed from camp".

According to the Mayo Clinic scorpion stings are painful but rarely life-threatening. Only about 30 of the estimated 1,500 species of scorpions produce venom toxic enough to be fatal.
Young children and older adults are most at risk of serious complications. They are said to cause intense pain, numbness and tingling and slight swelling - but for those stung by a poisonous variety it can be serious and even lead to death.
