I'm A Celebrity favourite to leave the show after 20 years and fans are gutted

TV presenters Ant and Dec are the famous faces of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! but there are other popular cast members, such as Medic Bob, who is known for jumping in, in an emergency. Now the Australian is leaving the show after 20 years.

Medic Bob, who has been a part of the ITV show since it started in 2002, is being replaced by another medic. Medic Bob's real name is Robert McCarron and it has been reported that he is busy with other work commitments so unable to continue with I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Many fans were gutted to hear the news Medic Bob was leaving and took to Twitter. One said: "noooooo i love bob the medic!!! hes a legend!!".

Another said: "Nooooo medic Bob is leaving #ImACelebrity after 20 years" followed by a crying face emoji. A third said: "not medic bob??!? nooo" and "No medic bob?! How can you do an Oz series without Medic Bob?!"

Bob already has his own TV show where he travels around Australia, as well as being part of the German version of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

ITV said: "Bob will always be a friend to the show. We wish him all the very best and thank him for his hard work." Bob has been present at many of the show's most memorable moments, including the live trial that saw Gillian McKeith famously pass out.

He has also had to remove cockroaches from Harry Redknapp's ear and Fatima Whitbread's nostril. I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! has confirmed that the show will be returning to Australia after using Gwrych Castle in Wales as its camp for the past two years. Ant and Dec have also confirmed there will be an All-Star spin-off of the show and they are currently filming for it in South Africa.

The comedy duo said: "South Africaaaaaaa! That's right, we're filming a very special version of I'm A Celebrity in South Africa which is coming to your tellies in 2023."
