I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here fans were a bit confused during last night's episode as one star seemed to be absent from the camp.
The new series of the ITV show kicked off on Sunday and fans have been tuning in to get their jungle fix finally after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic when it was held in a castle in Wales for two years. But during the latest episode, fans took to social media to question where certain celebrities were as they barely featured during the episode.
In the installment, some celebs took part in the Bushtucker trial, whilst others really settled into camp life and got used to their new surroundings, however some fans were confused as one star seemed to be missing from all the action.
Many fans were concerned for Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver – who plays Eileen Grimshaw on the ITV soap – as they didn't really see much of her and called for her to get more air time.
One viewer wrote: "I wanna see the legend that is @Sue _Cleaver #ImACeleb, whilst one added: "I didn't even realise Sue from corrie was in the jungle she hasn't said much today I hope they give her more airtime #ImACeleb."
Another wrote: "Where the hell have they hidden our sue? #imaceleb ," with a fourth writing: "You near forget Sue Cleaver is there.. #ImACeleb ." A fifth added: "Why is Owen getting all the airtime please where is Sue Cleaver #imaceleb ."
Prior to entering the jungle, Sue opened up about her decision to join the line-up of the ITV show. Speaking to The Mirror and other press ahead of the show, Sue revealed why she decided now was the time to do it, after being asked for a few years.
She said: "I've always said no, not me. No, I'd never do this. I've started on now it's no I'm not doing that not do and then I think with the pandemic, and we all had a lot of time on our hands. It sort of changed a lot of stuff for me and then I was 59 in September, and I just thought you know what, I really want to get out of my comfort zone. And you know, just push myself and do something that I would never normally do. So that's why I'm doing it."
Sue said she's looking forward to people getting to know her and not just 'Eileen Grimshaw'.
She added: "It will be interesting for them – and for me as well – for people to see me outside of my character, but they'll get a glimpse of the real Sue in a very strange situation. So maybe you know, not the Sue that you'd see at home even."
