I'm a Celebrity Dec Donnelly's subtle opening message and meaning

Dec Donnelly made a subtle nod in another language to kickstart the episode.

I'm A Celebrity aired at a later time this evening to make way for coverage of the Qatar World Cup. Ant and Dec's usual conversation touched on the tournament before briefing viewers on what's in store for tonight's show.

During their duologue, Dec made a subtle comment in another language that didn't go unnoticed by fans watching at home. He said: "Hello, welcome, noswaith dda."

The comment, spoken in Welsh, sparked a flood of hysteria from viewers who were elated as some admitted they'd waited years to hear it.

One fan said: "I love the fact that Dec said Noswaith Dda again tonight because my brain can't deal with them saying it!"

Another added: "Whilst #Cymru is on the world stage so is #Cymraeg, @antanddec just opened tonight’s #ImACeleb with “Noswaith Dda."

A third unlucky viewer said: "They said “noswaith dda” I’ve missed that omg."

I'm a Celebrity aired directly after Wales faced off against the United States in the World Cup which resulted in a 1 - 1 tie. "Noswaith dda" appears to be a subtle nod to all of the Welsh fans watching as it translates to "Good evening."

I'm a Celebrity was forced to relocate to Wales just last year, finding a new home in Gwrych Castle in Conwy, after covid travel restrictions threw a spanner in the works.
