I'm A Celebrity: Charlene White joins Jill Scott and Chris Moyles on confirmed line-up

This year's stars of I'm A Celebrity have been jetting into Australia, ahead of entering the jungle.

On Thursday, Celebrity Gogglebox favourite Babatunde Aleshe and Charlene White touched down, becoming the fifth and sixth confirmed contestant taking part in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! this year.

The ITV series is set to kick off on Sunday, November 6, and the Loose Women star is joining a host of famous faces already in Australia and confirmed to be taking part.

Footballer Jill Scott touched down in Brisbane earlier today, while DJ Chris Moyles, Love Island's Olivia Attwood, Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner all flew in earlier this week.

The celebs are arriving earlier than usual this year, as ITV is asking them to isolate and test for Covid ahead of entering the jungle.

Charlene, 42, is best known for presenting ITV News programme and has also been an anchor on Loose Women since 2021.

She said: "I don't really like creepy crawlies so I don't imagine it was a show I would ever do to be honest. And I am not particularly outdoorsy so I don't know how that would work.

"I don't camp, I stopped going to girl guides because they kept making me camp so I definitely don't camp."

Asked about who she would miss she added: "I would miss my family, the kids and my other half and the other Loose ladies. If I am not hanging out with them every week I am not sure what to do with myself.

"I think if I was ever to do a show such as Im A Celebrity the issues will mainly be the outdoors, I don't do bugs, I don't do spiders, I don't do any of those things. So why would I sign up?!

"There are several facets to me so perhaps I would surprise people. Who knows? Maybe you will see a different side."

Meanwhile, the show's hosts Ant and Dec have also been pictured in Australia – with Dec smiling while carrying his baby son Jack and Ant spending some quality time with his wife Anne-Marie.

The last series of I'm a Celeb was filmed in Gwrych Castle in North Wales, but this year the show is back Down Under, and will kick off with a 105 minute special on November 6 at 9pm.

Although the date of the show was leaked a week ago, ITV bosses yesterday revealed their full listings for the weekend when the new series begins.

The series will kick off two weeks earlier than in 2021, and during the opening show, the campmates will explain why they have signed up.

Ant and Dec are then poised to set a series of challenges for them to make their way into the jungle camp near the town of Murwillumbah in New South Wales.

Before the opening show there will be more jungle fun and games with a Masked Dancer I'm a Celebrity special.

I'm a Celeb is expected to last three weeks and is beginning earlier than normal of the football World Cup.
