The I'm A Celebrity cast for 2022 could include some epic names on the line-up if rumours are to be believed - despite no confirmation as of yet.
After hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed their hopes to return to Australia, after two years of filming in Wales, ITV appeared to confirm this was the goal.
But now The Mirror can exclusively reveal there's a back-up plan for if a jungle return is thwarted again due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A new pre-recorded I’m A Celeb series is set to be filmed in South Africa. It will either be shown in November, if plans for filming the live series in Australia fall through, or kept on ice to be broadcast early next year.
Here's who we can expect to see in the jungle or the back-up series ahead of ITV updating viewers...
Danny Dyer
EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, who plays Mick Carter on the BBC soap, is set to bow out of the show later this year.
The actor is now favourite to sign up to the jungle series, with it reported earlier this year that bosses are keen to offer him big money to take part.
“Producers think Danny would be great on the series and is their number one target," a source told The Sun.
“They’re hoping he’ll be finished in time, they’d definitely be up for a big money offer.”
The bookies are also backing Danny to be the top billing star of the upcoming season, and last month he was at odds of 5/1 of starring in the show.
Tom Daley
Olympian Tom Daley has long been rumoured to be a contestant on the show, while his diving partner Matty Lee took part in the last series.
Recent odds have once again tipped Tom to be on the bill for the upcoming series ahead of names being confirmed.
Earlier this year, it was claimed ITV bosses were in a battle with Strictly Come Dancing, as both the BBC and ITV were desperate to sign up the diver for their shows.
A source said: "There is a race to secure Tom – both broadcasters know he will be loved by viewers.
"Strictly bosses feel sure that he will stay in the competition until very near to the end, if not the final – while ITV feels he would be perfect fit to join other celebrities in the jungle.
"Tom has a broad fanbase but is very popular with the 16 to 24 age bracket, which both the BBC and ITV are keen to keep watching their shows."
Peter Crouch
Peter Crouch is another name often thrown into the rumour mill for I'm A Celebrity campmates.
The former pro footballer was listed on recent odds last month, along with Tom and Danny, to be announced as a 2022 contestant.
William Hill spokesperson, Tony Kenny, said: "We might still be a fair way off the show beginning, but rumours are already rife on who’ll be putting pen to paper for this year’s return to the Australian jungle for I’m A Celeb.
"We make Danny Dyer the 5/1 favourite to be a contestant, though given the likes of Peter Crouch (7/1), Mike Dean (8/1) and Matt Hancock (16/1) are all quoted, we could be in for one of the best lineups the popular show has ever seen."
I'm A Celebrity is set to return later this year on ITV.
