I'm A Celeb viewers say Jill Scott 'made their night' with embarrassing escape room story

I'm A Celebrity viewers seem to have fallen even more in love with Sunderland's own Jill Scott after the Lioness told an amusing story during tonight's episode.

The football star laughed as she revealed to other members of the jungle that she had once been in an escape room and attempted to solve the puzzle of how to get out using a device she found on the wall - only to discover that it was in fact the venue's gas meter and nothing to do with the challenge.

Jill's fans quickly took to social media to share their reaction to the anecdote. "Hearing of Jill reading the electricity box in an escape room has made my night," one fan said on Twitter.

Another added: "Jill reading the gas meter during an escape room, what a cutie."

"Jill reading the gas meter in an escape room is such a Jill thing to do," said a third.

Someone else said: "Jill admitting she tried to get out of an Escape room by reading the gas meter! I've been voting for her to win and that is not changing!! She is great!"

"Jill is absolutely hilarious with her one liners and stories … the escape room story tonight was so funny," another fan praised.

Elsewhere in Thursday's episode, Jill named Princess Diana, Joey from Friends, and a "naked chef" David Beckham among her dream dinner party guests. The star is currently one of the hot favourites to win this year's series after impressing viewers with her no-nonsense attitude to the challenges and her kindness in camp.

Jill is said to be battling it out with Hollyoaks star Owen Warner to earn the jungle crown, with the pair neck and neck according to the latest odds. The winner will be decided by votes from the public in a feature-length finale episode this Sunday.
