I'm a Celeb star Paul Burrell's Cheshire home reveals handwritten letters from Princess Diana

As you can only imagine as a long supporter of the family, and having worked alongside both Princess Diana and the late Queen, Paul Burrell's spacious Cheshire home is kitted out with everything royal-related you could imagine in a nod to his admiration.

From a framed piece of Princess Diana's wedding cake, a stuffed toy corgi and a signed picture of the late Princess of Wales, the former royal butler has ensured his time working - and living - with the monarchy has stayed with him.

It comes as the 64-year-old appears in the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! All-Stars spin-off show. Paul has spoken previously about working as the late Lady Diana's butler for 10 years and the Queen's personal footman before that.

According to reports in the Mirror, Paul has shared the home with his husband Graham Cooper for a decade and the pair can kick their feet up in the cosy red-brick home with Tudor-style beams, which also boasts a spacious garden with a pond and seating area.

"This house is an amazing house," Paul said of the dwelling.

"And we're very very fortunate to live where we do. I've only lived here for about 10 years since I've known my husband 'Coop', but now this is my home as much as his."

Taking a look inside the house, it is packed full of royal relics and photos, with a snug, an entertainment room and a dining room. Showing OK! Magazine around, Paul held up a framed piece of cake from Diana's wedding to Charles in 1981, which he never ate.

He also shared with the publication a photo of the late royal taken by Lord Snowdon which was also signed by him. Elsewhere, he also had on display a signed photo of the Queen and Prince Phillip, given to him by the monarch when he left to join Charles and Diana's household in 1987.

Paul's Cheshire home also contains gifts given by Diana, who died in 1997, such as cufflinks and a small silver dish for Christmas.

He also revealed letters the late royal had written him, with one section of the handwritten letter reading: "I so want the monarchy to survive and realise the changes that will take to put 'the show' on a new and healthy track."

The message was written by Diana between 1993 and 1997 after she separated from the-now King Charles in 1992, according to Paul, meaning it is very likely confirmed she was a "monarchist".

Another clipping of the note showed Diana discussing the love she has for her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, who have become estranged brothers over recent years due to growing tensions within the family.

It reads: "I am here to support Mama [the Queen] and to bring W + H [William and Harry] up in order to cope with the fast changing world we live in.

"I love my boys to death and hope that the seeds I’ve planted will grow and bring the strength, knowledge and stability that is needed."

Paul explained he wanted to show Diana's words as they are poignant at this moment in time, in the build-up to the King's Coronation this weekend.
