I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! viewers have been deprived of watching Olivia Attwood lay into Matt Hancock in spectacular style, the star's pal has claimed.
A source close to the star has mused how the former Love Islander, 31, would have 'gutted' the disgraced Tory MP 'like a fish' had she been in the jungle alongside the controversial politician.
Olivia was forced to leave the jungle earlier this week for reasons 'beyond her control' – meaning she narrowly missed Mr Hancock's entrance into camp alongside Seann Walsh.
Now, an insider has hinted how Olivia would have been fuming with Mr Hancock's hypocrisy during the Covid-19 pandemic and multiple national lockdowns, in which the MP for West Suffolk broke the social distancing rules created and enforced by his own party.
Mr Hancock was forced to resign as health secretary in June 2021 after breaking Covid-19 lockdown rules by conducting an affair in his ministerial office with aide Gina Coladangelo while social distancing rules were in place.
Like many brides-to-be across the country, Olivia was forced to alter her wedding day plans in 2020 thanks to lockdowns and restrictions regarding how many guests could be present to watch her tie the knot with footballer fiance Bradley Dack.
The former TOWIE star and the Blackburn Rovers player got engaged in 2019 and had planned to marry the following year, prior to Covid-19 wrecking havoc across the world.
"Olivia would have gutted Hancock like a fish in the jungle," a pal of Olivia's was overheard saying at a recent event – adding how the reality TV star had already spent thousands of pounds on her special day before having to cancel it in 2020.
The comments come following a statement shared on Olivia's Instagram Stories on Monday, in which a representative for the star asked, "Who will roast Matt Hancock now?", after it was revealed Olivia had left the I'm A Celebrity camp.
The Mirror has approached representatives for Olivia for comment.
Last year, Olivia and Bradley rearranged their wedding date once again - this time postponing their nuptials until 2023 due to the couple wanting to focus on their busy work schedules.
"We're not getting married next year. We have cancelled our wedding," Olivia explained to the MailOnline in November 2021.
She added: "I made the final decision and I feel like Brad was more upset than me. A lot of the wedding stress lands on the woman typically... He said, 'let's just do it next year' and I said, 'well you're not the one that's doing it', I don't want to do something and rush it."
Olivia went on to reveal how things were "complicated" but the main reason she is delaying walking down the aisle is due to Bradley's ongoing recovery from an injury – adding how they are a "strong couple" who want to enjoy the experience of getting married.
The sports star and Olivia actually met way before the former I'm A Celebrity star rose to fame back in 2017 when she appeared on another ITV reality TV series Love Island, but split shortly before she entered the iconic villa.
During her time in Spain, Olivia met and began a relationship with fellow Islander Chris Hughes.
However, following their break up upon returning to the outside world, the 30-year-old reunited with her on-off boyfriend Bradley and the footballer went on to propose in October 2019 after he and Olivia rekindled their relationship.
Olivia appeared on our screens on I'm A Celebrity for the first time on Sunday night, but less than 24 hours later it was announced the reality TV star was heading home early due to a medical issue.
"To say Olivia it heartbroken would be an understatement," a spokesperson for the star wrote on social media as it was revealed Olivia was on her way back to England.
They continued to say: "She dreamed of doing 'I'm A Celeb' for years and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would)."
"However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short," the statement explained. "Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has.
"You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year.
"Ps. Who's going to roast Matt Hancock now?!"
Representatives for Olivia have since claimed her exit from the Australian jungle had 'nothing to do' with Covid-19.
