I'm A Celeb's Olivia Attwood quits show and told it's 'not safe' to return

After just 24 hours in the jungle, celebrity campmate Olivia Attwood has quit the reality television series.

According to reports, she had to quit the show on medical grounds and comes the day after the launch show last night (November 6).

Olivia was involved in a medical issue overnight and had to leave the jungle for checks. A show insider said she wanted to go back in but wasn't able to do so, adding: "Olivia was involved in a medical drama overnight. She really wanted to go back into the camp but medics won't let her."

The 31-year-old star, who previously appeared on Love Island, was the first female to enter this series' show alongside Chris Moyles and selected as the first VIP and treated to some delicious food before skydiving from a helicopter at 10,000ft.

A show spokesperson told The Mirror: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo medical checks.

"Unfortunately, the medical team has advised that it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show."

Speaking after she was voted by the public to be a VIP, she said: "I am equal parts flattered and unnerved the public voted for me to be a VIP. I'm guessing they know more of what that entails than I do."

While Chris was decidedly not happy about the challenge, Olivia was visibly thrilled by the experience as she branded it her "top 10 experience".

"Oh my god I'm crying, that's the most amazing thing I've ever done, ever," she gushed after landing on a beach.

"That is incredible. Top 10 experience of my life. Just amazing."

Taking to social media, many tweeted about the breaking news that they would miss her and wishing her a speedy recovery.

One yelled: "NO WAY HAS OLIVIA ATWOOD LEFT IM HEARTBROKEN."

Another added: "Oh, Olivia Attwood has left #ImACeleb already?! Hope she is okay."

"It’s a shame that Olivia has had to quit #ImACeleb ! I think she would of been great!" wrote a sad third.

We wish Olivia a speedy recovery and hope she is ok.
