I'm A Celebrity 2022's Matt Hancock hasn't won over Chris Moyles on the show, following his tearful claims that he "made mistakes", and that he wanted "forgiveness".
On Friday, viewers saw Hancock be grilled by his campmates over his Covid rule-breaking and his affair, which led to his resignation as Health Secretary in 2021.
Things became emotional, as Charlene White told Hancock about her personal loss during the first coronavirus wave, with her aunt passing away from the virus.
Hancock spoke of his "mistakes" while adding he had no regrets about how he performed as Health Secretary during the pandemic.
He did say that he regretted breaking the Covid guidelines, while insisting he did not break the law and was not fined.
Radio star Chris Moyles was not convinced though, and as some of the campmates applauded Hancock for admitting he wanted "forgiveness", the star believed the Tory MP was holding back the full truth.
Chris said in the Bush Telegraph: "Honestly, the way I feel now is he’s pulled the mask slightly off his chin a little bit but I still think he’s not telling us the full truth."
Afterwards, Chris said to Scarlette Douglas: "It was the last thing he said, ‘I think I’m here for forgiveness’. Then, I wanted to go, ‘Forgiveness for what Matt?
"What are you sorry for? Are you sorry for being caught? Are you sorry for having an affair? Are you sorry for making bad decisions? Are you sorry for lying? What? What?’
"If you’re going to be real, be real. I’m trying to be as real as I can and when I think he’s not being real it’s bugging me and I don’t know why. We’ve all made mistakes and you put your hands up and you’re honest.
"If you’re at that point where you genuinely feel that bad, you go, I’m sorry and you take it, I’m sorry."
Chris continued: "He’s trying to portray that he’s being totally honest and it’s eating away at me."
Giving Hancock the benefit of the doubt, Scarlette said: "We have to just take him at face value in here. Outside of here, probably not going to be friends with you, but in here we’ll work together as a team."
Chris then added: "It’s a real struggle."
It follows the drama earlier this week surrounding Hancock’s arrival on the ITV show, which led to predictions of a mass walkout by fans.
On Wednesday, Boy George confessed he was considering leaving the jungle, with one campmate doing her best to stop him.
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, he became emotional as he said: "I don't really know what to do with my feelings. You know, today was obviously quite emotional for me.
"I don't know what it's going to be like, I actually don't really know if I want to be here."
Sue Cleaver soon encouraged him to stay, while she too shared her view on the matter - clearly not keen on Hancock.
She said: "Just sleep on it tonight. Look, why he came in and what he's doing here, it's not our responsibility and it's not for us to take on."
Sue later said in the Bush Telegraph: "George was having a bit of a moment. I think if I'm honest that most of us are sort of feeling it's a bit of a very strange situation to be in."
Viewers predicted several cast members could end up leaving the series following ITV signing up the disgraced Tory MP.
Taking to Twitter, they guessed drama and tension was on the cards for sure - but many also wondered if a mass walkout could happen.
One viewer said: "I got a funny feeling [Hancock] is gonna to have walk, before they have a mass walkout."
Another tweeted: "George is going to quit. I’m calling it now!"
A third viewer added: "I think many will walk out," as a fourth wrote: "I reckon Boy George will walk out."
However, others guessed this would not happen as the celebrities would lose out on their pay for the series.
I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
