I'm A Celeb camp elect Mike Tindall as new leader as Matt Hancock is put on dunny duty

Matt Hancock was fired from his role as camp leader on I'm A Celebrity on Friday night.

The MP, 44, not only lost out on his title as an election was held to vote for the new master of camp but suffered another fall from grace as he was delegated to dunny duty.

Viewers watched Mike Tindall take over Hancock's role, who soon announced his deputy will be Coronation's Street's Sue Cleaver.

The scenes unfolded when Hancock told the stars as he read: "The celebrity with the most votes will become the new leader. The first role of the new leader is to choose a deputy immediately. I shall now count the votes!"

Boy George said in the Bush Telegraph: "Please don’t let it be me. I don’t want responsibility. I spent the last 61 years avoiding it!"

After the camp cast their votes, Hancock revealed his successor, Mike.

Owen in Bush Telegraph said: "It’s going to be a shambles without him doing everything!"

The new leader and deputy had to distribute chores to the campmates.

Mike read out his decisions, saying that no-one was allowed to do the same job as before.

Mike said: "What we’ve tried to do is keep it as close to what we think people want to do."

Camp chefs are now Charlene and Jill, while Seann is on washing up with Scarlett. Camp water is Owen and Babatúndé. Mike put Hancock on dunny duty. Boy George is on camp maintenance with Chris.

Hancock became camp leader last week and his position with journalist Charlene White, 42, as his deputy, has led to some conflict over recent days though due to sleeping arrangements.

Charlene would not share the beds in the RV with the politician, which led to a shortage of bed in the camp.

And there had been tension even when politician Hancock was first elected as camp leader. At the time, Boy George threatened a "revolution" if Matt was too bossy.

The news of the election comes amid campmates' family and friends landing in Australia, ahead of Friday's first eviction.

Following her arrival, Gina spoke about her partner Hancock. She said: "I have been watching the show. It would be difficult not to be impressed. He has done really well."

Speaking about her beau, she told The Mirror: "I have been watching the show, it would be difficult not to be impressed he has done really well."

Asked about him taking on the trials she said: "He is made of tough stuff, it is hard not to be impressed. But it is good they are sharing them around now."

When asked whether being apart has been difficult she smiled and nodded as she said: "Obviously yes I have missed him."
