'I'm 64 and proud to be in the 'no bra club' - trolls say I need to grow up'

A 64-year-old woman has fought back at trolls who ordered her to "grow up" after revealing she doesn't bother wearing a bra when out in public. TikToker KarenLee Poter is a proud member of the "no bra club" - and has been encouraging other women to live their lives to the fullest by doing whatever makes them happy.

In one of the latest videos, she said: "Big milestone - I went out tonight and guess what I didn't wear... a bra." But while some viewers showed their support, others were quick to judge, saying she should have "more sense" at her age and needs to "grow up".

One user said: "Do what ever makes you feel comfortable!"

Another user added: "Did it hurt stepping on them?"

A third user said: "I don't see any problem? Nothing inappropriate. You are being you and that's awesome."

One more user added: "You didn’t wear your self respect."

KarenLee, who also runs a TikTok podcast called @sextalkwithmymom, uses her social media platforms to teach women about self care, growing old gracefully and how to "date as a cougar".

She is also trying to redefine the term cougar, when used in reference to older women, from a "predatory jungle animal" to "strong, unique and powerful creatures".

Her book, A Cougar's Guide To Getty Your Ass Back Out There, which is available on Amazon for $3 (£2.50), encourages women to reclaim their power in the dating world.

When speaking about her book, she said: "My husband and best friend of 24 years was murdered!

"What happens when you go through a death or divorce? Do you crawl under the covers and let the trauma control your life or do you emerge powerful and more confident than you ever thought possible?

"I chose the later route. In this book, I share my most personal stories, thoughts and experiences from childhood to widow to cougar.

"I've redefined the word Cougar to mean a confident, older, unique, genuine and racy woman.

"My hope is that this book will be a life changing guide for all women who want to live their life with passion and purpose."

The book's blurb reads: "This is an extremely important book for today's generation of women who are single, divorced or widowed, looking at the dating scene and asking themselves "What am I supposed to do now?"

"Poter's re-definition of the word cougar as no longer being the predatory jungle animal some define the cougar but as strong, unique and powerful creatures who can make their own choices about their lives that reflect who they are today.

"The author's personal history is very compelling and adds to the easy readability of this terrific book.

"Her insights are spot on and her advice is comprehensive and detailed even as she states what should be obvious but isn't always: 'No married men' or 'No texting while on a date.'

"The book is also filled with real-life examples and clever sayings that bring it all home and put everything about the incredibly complex and confusing dating scene into something we can understand and relate to. In particular, check out the sections on 'Lessons Learned' and 'Red Flags'."
