Shubhaavi Choksey is passionate about her work, but the one thing she will not compromise on is her Sunday off. The actress, who is currently seen in the show Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2, says, “When I had just started working, I would work on Sundays. But after I gave birth to my son Aarav and took a sabbatical, I was sure that once I resumed work, I would take a day off to spend time with my son and husband. It’s very important for me to spend time with my family and friends. So, I started doing this since 2012.”
Did she face any resistance from makers? She says, “Yes, of course. When I would tell people about wanting a Sunday off, they would tell me ‘Ma’am yeh to nahi ho sakta’. But I would insist and ask for it to be included in my contract. Initially they hesitated, but later people understood my point and agreed to my demand. Many makers understand my point.”
