Deion Sanders did not stay quiet after streamer Rakai shared a bold story online. The Colorado Buffaloes head coach was part of the NFL Pro Bowl weekend on February 15, where he coached a celebrity flag football game. After the game, Rakai, a 17-year-old YouTuber with nearly 940,000 subscribers, said on his stream that Sanders told him he should leave streaming and come play college football.
That claim quickly caught attention. Soon after, a video from Well Off Media showed Sanders reacting when asked about Rakai’s words. Sitting in a barber’s chair, Sanders looked up and said, “Can you get Rakai on the phone so we can discuss this?” He then added, “I love him, I think he played his butt off, he has talent. I don’t know if he’s a college athlete at this point.” So while Deion Sanders praised the teenager’s effort, he also made it clear he was not fully backing the idea of a college offer.
