A mum has come under fire for letting her 11-year-old daughter get a lash lift and tint – while some people say she's too young, the parent says she has a good reason for letting her.
Mum Roxy Jacenko recently uploaded a video to Instagram where she took her young daughter to a local salon to get the beauty treatments, explaining there was a particular reason she had let her.
PR pro Roxy explained that because her influencer daughter has red hair, her eyelashes are so fair they are near-invisible. In the video, daughter Pixie Curtis could be seen walking to the salon to have the treatment, and showed off her results with a smile.
The treatment involved using a tool to curl the lashes upwards, then applying a semi permanent dye to give them a more stand-out look.
Taking to Instagram, the mum and daughter duo wrote: "Red hair means no lashes - till now. Thank you @fancy.lash for my lash lift and tint."
PR guru mum Roxy, from Australia, runs the Instagram account
on behalf of her daughter.
The post caused a strong reaction online, with many cruel commenters not holding back on their opinions.
One wrote: "Really? Too young for this. What's next - botox and lip fillers? What a joke."
Another added: "Wow. How sad."
A third commented: "Use your platform to teach young girls to adhere to beauty stands?!"
However, others didn't see the problem and hit back at the trolls. One person said: "It's a lash lift and tint… are people serious? They're not fake lashes. I was getting this done too at her age. Some people need to get a life!"
Another added: "As a fellow Ginger I highly support this!"
A third commented: "No big deal, she is in high school. Whatever makes her feel good about herself."
This comes as Roxy recently announced Pixie, who has set up several businesses and owned a £43,000 Mercedes Benz before she could even drive, was going to retire and focus on her education.
The teenager allegedly earns £110k a month through her children's hair accessory brand Pixie's Bows.
Speaking to news.com.au, Roxy said: "Pixie has decided to hang her online toy store shoes up to focus on her impending entry into high school.
"In short, over the past few months, we have been discussing the business plans going forward as a family and decided that while it has been an amazing journey starting some three years ago, it was time to refocus with high school just around the corner."
