Ryan Lowe trusted his instinct when he signed Everton starlet Tom Cannon and believes his gut feeling has already been proven right.
The young striker signed for Lowe’s Preston North End side on loan in January - having broken into the Blues first team either side of the World Cup. While he earned senior minutes under Frank Lampard the question over his development was centred on whether his first spell away from Everton should be in League One or the Championship.
Having watched him several times for Paul Tait’s academy side, Lowe believed he could handle the second tier. Two goals in his last three games suggests the former striker’s faith was fully justified.
