I Just Realized That’s Mark Ruffalo’s Son In Amazon Prime’s Latest Hit Series

Mark Ruffalo in Crime 101 and Keen Ruffalo in Sterling Point.

This year in particular, having an Amazon Prime subscription has been feeding anyone who loves a good YA drama. In 2026 alone, Prime Video has put out streaming phenomenon Off Campus, Every Year After and Young Sherlock. Its latest is a show called Sterling Point, and I just made a Mark Ruffalo connection.

Sterling Point arrived on the 2026 TV schedule earlier this week, and it quickly became Prime Video’s No. 1 series. The original show has an impressively high Rotten Tomatoes score, and it also happens to star Mark Ruffalo’s son, Keen Ruffalo. Spot the resemblance?

Keen Ruffalo the eldest of Mark Ruffalo’s kids. Mark shares three children with his wife of over 25 years, Sunrise Coigney. Sterling Point isn’t Keen’s first major acting credit. He’s also had small parts in some of his dad’s projects like Begin Again, Thor: Ragnarok and Task. But this is the first time he’s ever been a lead on a TV show, and I love to see it.

Sterling Point is about a pair of twins who suddenly inherit an island in Canada from their grandfather. Keen Ruffalo plays Connor, the twin brother to the show’s main character Annie, played by Ella Rubin. The show was created by Megan Park, who also wrote and directed a gem of a 2024 release, My Old Ass.

In an interview Keen did with The Hollywood Reporter, the 25-year-old said he initially planned to start a career in fashion. However, the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic derailed his path. He ultimately decided to explore acting and fell in love with it pretty quickly. In his words:

My parents were never ones to make us do anything or, especially, impose any of their own ideas for what our career paths might be, which I appreciated a lot. Maybe [they were] a little bit more enthusiastic about playing soccer, but they were kind of like, ‘Yeah, do whatever.’

While many kids of celebrities grow up around the flashing lights of Los Angeles, Keen Ruffalo actually grew up on a farm in Upstate New York. He said he didn’t even realize the gravity of his dad’s fame for a while. Then one day someone came up to him and asked if Mark Ruffalo could sign his Hulk Funko Pop. His dad’s opinion of his acting seems to be playing into his own. As he said:

I went to so many goddamn conservatories… Finally, my dad saw a play that I did, and he was like, ‘You might be ready now.’ He gave me the A-OK to go out into the world.

Keen Ruffalo isn’t just in a TV show this summer; he also has a project on the 2026 movie schedule called Nimrods. The comedy coming out next week involves Green Day and stars Mason Thames.

It’s early days for Keen Ruffalo’s career, but he’s doing well for himself already. Meanwhile, his dad is killing it as usual, in Spider-Man: Brand New Day as Bruce Banner/Hulk, in theaters now. Mark Ruffalo is set to be in the next Pixar movie, Gatto, too. Now, I'm already wondering if he and Keen will ever make something together.
