'I identify as a kitten and my boyfriend is my care giver'

A US couple have opened up about their relationship where a man is a carer for his girlfriend who identifies as a cat.

The couple named Adam and Abigail appeared on the Love Don't Judge podcast and YouTube series and gave an insight into how their relationship works.

Abigail who identifies as a cat "24/7" revealed that she is not sexually attracted to her partner Adam but she enjoys him taking care of her.

However Adam, 28, also spoke about his love of being a carer to 23-year-old Abigail., reports Bristol Live.

"I'm pretty much a kitten 24/7," she told the podcast.

"I wear my ears to work. When I realised I was a kitten, I was 16. When I first started wearing ears I don't think I thought anything of it, I definitely felt more confident when I had them on.

She usually 'hangs out in her cat bed', and loves head pats from her partner.

"I love kitten playing because it's my natural personality and what I like from a relationship."

Speaking about the first time he saw Abigail Adam said: "When she first walked into the room I was kind of star-struck, I was like 'oh wow, she's gorgeous."

During the podcast, Adam beckons Abigail by saying 'kitten come', she then curled up near his lap. She admitted that she's asexual and not attracted to people. He also prepared her salmon and cream, while she tends to follow him around their flat.

"I’m pretty much a kitten 24/7 because I float in and out of it so effortlessly," she told viewers. "I wear my ears to work and I never take them off – I try not to let people see me without them."

Adam said: "I've always been a caretaker. I've always liked being that dominant figure that likes not really to have someone underneath them but someone to take care of. It makes me feel fulfilled in a relationship to take care of her entirely."

All her friends and colleagues said they wouldn't recognise her now without her ears and have embraced her looks. But Abigail said 'creepy men' can be rude online.
