Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has said that winning the Premier League Golden Boot is ‘not important’ despite the South Korean being just one goal behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah at the top of the standings.
Son has netted 21 goals in 33 Premier League games this season compared to Salah’s 22 in 34. He scored again during his side's superb 3-0 win over Arsenal on Thursday evening that left Spurs one point off their fourth-placed north London neighbours with two games to spare.
Son was subbed off after 72 minutes and was visibly frustrated but reaffirmed that he was just focused on ensuring Tottenham qualified for the Champions League.
