'I got dress-coded at the gym for showing too much skin - I've seen people wear far less'

A woman has claimed that she was "dress-coded" at the gym for showing too much much skin after she flaunted a blue playsuit. Miley - who shared her sportwear look online - claims she bought the outfit specifically for the gym and was gobsmacked when she was pulled up on wearing it.

The avid gym-goer - who boasts more than 1,400 followers on her TikTok account @millythemermaid77 - took to the popular video-streaming service to share the controversial outfit in question. The navy leotard was rather modest from the front and reached her mid-thighs.

The back was more revealing, with more skin showing through criss-cross strappy detailing.

In the video, which has surpassed 490,000 views since posting, the TikToker donned a sad expression as she showed the outfit off in full.

She explained: "Sad face because I got dress-coded at the gym for showing too much skin."

"I literally bought this because I knew I couldn't show my stomach here. Crying," she added in the comment section of the viral video.

Flocking to the comment section, viewers quickly rushed to the woman's defence as they shared a series of reassuring messages - while others thought that Miley should end her membership.

One person question: "But that's not a lot of skin showing????"

"I KNOW," Miley responded beside a crying emoji.

"At my gym some women work out in literal bikinis," a different user added.

Meanwhile, another person claimed: "I would have ended my membership if they did it to me."

"1. Cancel membership 2. Drop the name 3. Let’s make the mm regret that decision :)," another user agreed.

A fifth penned: "AT THE GYM?? Girl no at my gym we show up with shorts and a workout bra."
