We've all been there - shared a Netflix password with someone we trusted at the time, and then they've done something shady to get cut out of your life, but you've forgotten that they know your Netflix password. You might notice things you wouldn't watch on your 'recommended for you' section, or you might notice your subtitles keep getting turned off, despite the fact you've got them on.
Whichever way you notice someone is using your account, it could open a whole can of worms. That's why one woman took to Mumsnet to complain that her husband's ex was using her Netflix account, despite the fact that she'd only entrusted the account to her stepson.

She wrote: "I know this is a complete first-world problem but would I be unreasonable to kick my husband's ex off my Netflix?
"I have a Netflix account, one I had from even before I met my husband, I pay for it myself (we don't completely share finances). There is a profile on there that my stepson uses which is absolutely fine. He's young so it's a kid's profile.
"However, I've noticed there is another profile with his name on that's an adult's profile and it's been watching things that obviously aren't him. When we asked he said mummy and her partner that one.
"Am I being unreasonable to think she's a cheeky sod and to change my password and boot them off? Step son rarely uses it these days, I don't think he's been on it at either house this year, to be honest.
"Admittedly I don't like my husband's ex because she's a pain in the backside in a lot of ways and enjoys being difficult for the sake of it so no I don't want to be paying for a service for her and her partner to use. Obviously wasn't bothered about my stepson using it, but not her."
People agreed that the woman was being cheeky to use the Netflix account, and said she would be perfectly reasonable to change the password.
One wrote: "Change the password. See what they come back with."
Another agreed, writing: "Boot them off. You pay for it. Not her!"
Someone else said: "I think Netflix are looking to charge for account sharing so good time to do it. Also you can make your subscription cheaper by only being able to watch one screen at a time."
"So cheeky! Definitely change your password", one quipped.
