Popular retailer Home Bargains is famed across Merseyside, known for its array of homeware products for a fraction of the price.
The amount of dupes available to purchase is increasing dramatically across retailers, with many shoppers choosing more affordable alternatives for luxury brands - and rightly so! After visiting my local Home Bargains, I came across an absolutely stunning lamp that I knew I'd seen before, for a much heftier fee.
In all its glory, the Home Collections: Velvet Shade Cage Table Lamp - Green is priced at £34.99 looked strikingly similar to a Barker and Stonehouse lamp priced at £165.

The full product description for the Home Bargains lamp online reads: "This striking industrial table lamp is ideal for any contemporary or minimalist home. Ideal as a bedside table lamp, or for additional lighting in a hallway or living room. This lamp comes in Gold and Green."
With dimensions L38cm x W35.5cm x H64cm the lamp is designed for indoor use only and comes with a stunning industrial aesthetic. Meanwhile, the Barker & Stonehouse version is slightly bigger with dimensions of L40cm x D40cm with a height of 72cm.
Priced at a whopping £165, the Barker and Stonehouse lamp has the same deep green velvet shade and gold wire base as the Home Bargains version. I was blown away by how similar these two lamps looked.
The full product description for the Barker and Stonehouse lamp reads: "An elegant combination of a gold wire base and a deep green velvet shade, the Green Velvet French Wire Tall Table Lamp has a modern-retro style that is destined to impress. A tall design that is ready to make a statement, this versatile lamp is a perfect match for rustic wood, smooth and luxurious marble, as well as timeless painted finishes - ideal for a range of stylish decors in any room of the home."
Although there are some minor aesthetic differences between the two lamps, with the Home Bargains lamp having more of a bold golden caged detail, the two lamps are incredibly alike. The velvet shades looked virtually the same, both in a stunning dark green colour.
