A Dublin man has revealed he flew to Hungary purely to avail of McDonald's twisty fries.
King Gaffo Food Reviews on TikTok, alongside many McDonald's fans, was left hugely disappointed back in 2020 when twisty fries were removed from the fast food joint's menu. However, the reviewer was informed online that the item was on offer in Hungary.
The TikTok user subsequently hopped on a plane to Budapest in search of some nostalgia. He described twisty fries as "the best thing since sliced bread" and outlined the excursion in his video.

He said: "I got this message the other day and I knew I had to book a flight straight over to Hungary. I've never been more excited for a McDonald's trip in my life."
The item cost 920 Hungarian Forints, equivalent to roughly €2.40. He urged McDonald's Ireland to "sort themselves out" and re-introduce the popular side serving.
The video quickly gained views on TikTok. Many users shared King Gaffo's enthusiasm for the treat, while poking some fun at his food-driven trip.
One person wrote: "Seriously why did they get rid of them? I'll never understand it."
Another TikTok user quipped: "Must have been fierce Hungary lad."
