On loan Everton star Lewis Warrington has revealed he is being challenged to add goals to his game from all quarters.
The 19-year-old Everton Academy graduate made the move to Fleetwood Town on deadline day after making encouraging progress with the Blues in recent months. After catching the eye on loan at Tranmere Rovers last term, Warrington returned to Finch Farm in the summer and penned a new two-year contract with the club.
Warrington, ironically, made his first-team debut after 15 years of progressing through the youth ranks at Everton against the Cods in a Carabao Cup tie back in August. He also impressed Blues boss Frank Lampard during pre-season, featuring in the club's US tour matches and friendlies against Blackpool and Dynamo Kyiv.

His first appearance for the Cod Army arrived in a 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers two days after completing his loan move, with his first 90 minutes coming in a hugely impressive away win at Peterborough United ten days later. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength and has caught the eye with a series of impressive displays.
Warrington scored his first goal in Fleetwood colours on Saturday as Scott Brown’s side claimed a 3-1 win over Oxford City in the First Round of the Emirates FA Cup. The Everton loanee opened the scoring midway through the first-half before a Paddy Lane brace completed the scoring for Town.
And speaking following the strike, Warrington said: “We’re made up that we have made it through to the next round, but not as happy with the performance.
“The lads get onto each other when they need to so we know the performance could have been better and the gaffer [Scott Brown] said that too – we’ve just got to build on it.
“I felt that it was going straight in; that’s what I’m trying to aim, to get more goals and assists into my game so I’m made up I could start that now really.
“I just need to shoot a bit more, from when it falls out to the edge of the box, I don’t really have the license to go into the box, as I’m sitting deeper.
“I am made up with that one today. I’m getting challenged by my dad and all the staff to add goals and assists so I’m buzzing with this one. Hopefully, I can carry this on in the league next Saturday.”
Before he added: “It’s my FA Cup debut as well, I’ve never played FA Cup and to score on my debut in it is good because I grew up watching the competition.
“I’ve watched my team, Everton, go quite far in it so to get a cup goal is pretty special for me.”
