Neil Warnock believes Dele Alli would be a 'hell of a player' if he was to play for Liverpool or Manchester City after his switch from Tottenham Hotspur to Everton in January has yet to work out. The former manager highlighted Everton's style of play as a problem for the England international.
The 73-year-old stated that he feels sorry for the former Spurs player because he doesn't believe that Frank Lampard's side are capable to the strengths of the attacking midfielder. The 26-year-old made the switch to Goodison Park to kickstart his faltering career.
Alli is yet to start a match for Everton since arriving at the end of the January window, but Warnock thinks the 37-cap England man would be able to flourish in Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side.

“When I look at Dele, I feel sorry for him,” said Warnock on Sky Sports News. “Everton aren’t a team good enough or strong enough to give him the ball in the right areas.
“You play him off Calvert-Lewin. Play him off the striker and give him the ball in them areas. But they don’t do that. They are under the cosh all the time. They pass it in silly areas and don’t play them balls into feet and get runners, which he is good at.
“I think if you put him into Liverpool or Man City’s team, then you would get a hell of a player out of him.”
