Last year, I tested the Cadillac Optiq and I came away with the impression it was simply a baby Lyriq — mainly for how it copies its commanding style, but in a smaller footprint. This time around I’m putting the 2026 Cadillac Optiq V-Series to the test, equipped with a high-output dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain that delivers a blistering 519 horsepower.
While the base trim of the Optiq has an attractive $50,697 starting cost, the V-Series packs a sport-tuned suspension, larger 21-inch Satin Graphite alloy wheels, carbon fiber trim accents, and more. This brings the cost up to $79,270, putting this compact luxury crossover in the same price bracket as the premium midsize BMW iX and Audi Q6 e-tron models I’ve tested.
