Money has been tight lately so there’s nothing wrong with gifting your loved ones with a little secondhand present. However, if you’re going to give them a phone make sure you wipe it beforehand. One woman on TikTok found out some things she’d rather not know about her father after he gave her his old phone without deleting the apps he had installed and it’s enough to scar anybody.
A woman named Phoebe shared her Christmas haul from her father on TikTok. She received a rather generous gift in the form of an iPhone 16 Pro Max which had been her dad’s old phone. Even secondhand, that’s a pretty nice present, there was just one problem, he forgot to uninstall the apps he had downloaded onto his phone. What would have been a great Christmas gift all of a sudden turned into one of the worst presents we’ve seen somebody receive this year.
A disturbing discovery
Phoebe found out a little bit more about her father than she was probably hoping when she turned the device on and found a collection of gross and inappropriate apps on there. While the full titles of each app can’t be seen, we can infer what kind of content and activities her father was into, from an app that looks like it’s called “SexyLove” to “AdultEmojis” it seems we know what he was doing on the phone.
Some viewers also pointed out the “Throne” app, an app which is supposedly used by adult content creators to make wishlists of items they want which fans can use to buy them stuff, “NOT THRONE Oou he was paying,” speculated one. Of course, it’s worth mentioning not everyone uses the Throne app in that way, but given the other apps on the phone it’s understandable people would come to that conclusion.
Is it too late to return this gift?
While Phoebe may have been thrilled at a shiny new phone, her discovery no doubt has somewhat dampened her excitement. “I don’t want this anymore,” she says, before mentioning she had previously found a picture of her father’s penis and butt cheeks. It will likely be difficult to use the phone now that she knows what her father was doing with it during the time it was his.
“Everyday I’m reminded of the s–t this guy does,” she writes in the caption. It seems this may not be the first time she’s had to deal with her father’s inability to keep his preferences discreet. “And he didn’t think to delete..?” asked one viewer. Others shared similar experiences, “once I went on my dads phone trying to find the yahoo app and I saw the blue x app…”
Phoebe did clarify that her parents are separated, so at least her dad wasn’t cheating on her mother, however, it’s still the kind of discovery that could scar a daughter for life and why he didn’t think to wipe the phone is kind of baffling.
