Paramount is going through a tumultuous time right now. Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount were tipped to merge back in December, though it's important to note that no merger involving Warner Bros. Discovery can happen until April of this year. But it seems that merger is off the table entirely according to CNBC.
Now though, attention has shifted to a potential Peacock and Paramount Plus merger. The Wall Street Journal reported on talks between the two companies as recently as February 16 and they've discussed "joining forces in streaming through a partnership or joint venture, among several potential strategic options."
