Naming a baby is a big deal, and even when you feel 100% certain about your decision before your bundle of joy came along, it doesn't mean you'll love it as much when they arrive.
Some parents may feel it's necessary to make the difficult decision to choose a different name for their newborn after using the original for a little while - especially if they find themselves "cringing" each time they use it.
That happened to one mum who felt as though she had to change her baby boy's unusual name three months after his birth.
Kate, from Australia, thought that naming her child Cash had seemed like a "cool idea" at first, but when she found herself recoiling at the moniker, she had second thoughts.
"In my sleep-deprived post-natal delirium, I felt like maybe we could pull it off", she admitted.
Kate also said that it was set to be a nod to Johnny Cash, admitting she could "only name one of his songs", which is 'I Walk the Line.'
But after the name had been officially finalised, a few interactions shattered the parent's illusion of the "cool" name.
One thing that triggered the mum was that when she typed out her son's name on her iPhone, a money bag emoji came up as a suggestion every time.
She faced jokes asking if the name was spelled with a dollar sign like music star Ke$ha, and it wasn't long before she was gifted a T-shirt with the slogan 'Cash is King', as reported by Kidspot.
The final straw was when her son's name was referred to as "hipster", and it reached the point she "cringed" when she had to introduce him to someone new.
And when she officially changed his name to Reuben, her friends admitted that they were relieved.
Kate added: "My friend is a celebrant and she came over and gave Reuben a renaming ceremony.
"It involved some level of roasting, which I appreciated. A sense of humour is always helpful in situations like these."
