'I could do what he does' - Cameroon striker in bizarre attack on Liverpool's Mohamed Salah

Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar has taken aim at the hype around Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and claimed "I can do what he does".

And the outspoken African, who plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, insists that he 'couldn't give a toss' whether people agreed with him or not.

Aboubakar believes that the only real difference between himself and Egyptian international Salah is that the Liverpool number 11 has been given the opportunity to play for a big club, while he hasn't.

Speaking to 90FootballFr, Aboubakar said: "I'm not impressed by him. I can do what he does. I just don't have the opportunity to play in a big club. I understand people's attitudes, he's one of the best goalscorers in the Premier League. It makes sense that when you go on about a player like that, people will talk. But I did say that it was my opinion, my point of view. I don't give a toss if people don't like it."

It is not the first time that Aboubakar has thrown a verbal jibe at Salah. Before Egypt played in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. He went on record to say that Salah is not on the same level as stars such as Kylian Mbappe, of Paris Saint-Germain.

But with two African Football of Year awards to his name and 170 goals in his past five seasons, the Liverpool forward is not likely to be overly concerned by the opinion of the Cameroon striker.
