Afternoon tea is a popular choice when it comes to celebrating Mother's Day, with a number of Manchester bars and restaurants offering their twist on the treat. But with traditional afternoon tea costing £35 per person at 20 Stories, or from £25 at Hotel Gotham, some Brits may be looking for a way to 'get the look for less' so to speak.
To help shoppers have an afternoon tea experience on a budget, Morrisons and Marks and Spencer have both launched deals in a number of their cafes, priced between £5 and £12.50 per person.
Both much cheaper than a swanky hotel or restaurant, would they still live up to the luxury dining experience? We headed out to both supermarkets to find out.
