One woman has shared a difficult conundrum as she found out that two of her friends' husbands were cheating on their partners - leaving her torn between telling them the harsh truth or leaving them in blissful ignorance.
Single mum Jennifer*, whose real name remains anonymous, claims she has previously caught two of her pals' husbands cheating, but decided to say nothing, not wanting to be the one to tear apart their marriages.
The woman, from Queensland, Australia says the first instance happened when she was scrolling through a dating app and came across the profile of a pal's husband. She and the wife had become 'mum friends' when their kids were at the same primary school but had grown apart when they ended up going to different secondary schools.
As previously reported by Kidspot, Jennifer recalled the woman telling her stories of her husband returning home late from after-work drinks and had grown suspicious, being able to 'smell a cheater from a mile away'.
Although she wasn't exactly shocked by the revelation, she knew she had a very difficult decision to make, and turned to her daughter for advice.
Jennifer told the publication: "I ran to my daughter's room and showed her the profile and my very mature, intelligent child responds with, 'Mum, don't you say a word!'."
She added: "You never get involved in other people's business because you do not know their personal situation. Experience has made me wise to understand that some women and wives deep down know their husbands are not faithful but prefer to close a blind eye for a variety of reasons."
Unfortunately, just a few days later, Jennifer came across the profile of another friend's husband on the app. The two men were known to each other, leading her to suspect a group of dads were just 'being curious'.
With this in mind, Jennifer decided to keep quiet once again, reasoning that she didn't want to destroy a marriage 'because one silly person is curious'.
Jennifer explained: "Men and women are very different so we need to tread carefully before blurting out things may cause irreversible damage and ruin a family."
As far as she knows, both couples are still together. Although she harbours no regrets about keeping her discoveries to herself, Jennifer says she herself would have wanted to know had the roles been reversed, confident she would be strong and open enough to deal with the situation.
